Austin Naked Yoga offers a dynamic, heart-centered approach to yoga for men, welcoming both beginners and those with a regular practice. We work with traditional hatha yoga poses, breathing, improvisational movement, chanting, and partner work. With warmth and laughter, we’re invited to accept who we are and where we’re at, and to make space in our daily lives to celebrate the experience of being alive.
Each of us has our own reasons for choosing to practice yoga naked. Some folks enjoy the greater physical freedom. Some want to work on issues of shame and self-image. Some enjoy the taboo-breaking thrill of getting naked. Still others see nudity as a profound spiritual experience—a shedding of armor and barriers and the social masks we present to the world. Taking off our clothes—consciously and ritually—is a way to create sacred space that can be intimate and healing. And if you come to class, you’ll discover that this happens quite often.
Classes are held at a fitness studio in Austin on Monday night at 7:30 PM, Wednesday night at 8:30 PM and Saturday morning at 10 AM. Classes are taught by certified instructors. Founded in 2004, our group is open to men, 18 years and older, who live in Austin or are regular visitors to the area.
